Cube Ice Machine
1. Category Introduction
DAXTRO cube ice machines produce clear, solid, food grade cube ice in daily capacities from 1 ton to 20 tons. The range is built for buyers who sell ice as a product rather than use it as a cooling utility, so clarity, cube shape and melt behaviour matter as much as output.
Cubes are formed in individual cells, which means every piece is identical and fully transparent. That consistency is what beverage chains, hotels and seafood display counters are actually buying, and it is why cube ice commands a higher price per kilo than flake or tube ice in most markets.
Ice contact surfaces are 316L stainless steel and the water circuit is fully drainable, so the machine can be cleaned and sanitised as part of a food safety routine. CE marked, ISO 9001 production.
2. Working Principle
How the ice is made
Water fills a grid of individual moulds upside down over the evaporator plate. Refrigerant evaporates inside the plate and freezes the water from the outside in. As water freezes it expands slightly, and the remaining liquid is pushed toward the centre, which is why the finished cube is clear rather than cloudy.
How the ice is released
Once the cubes are fully formed, hot gas warms the evaporator plate and the cubes release as a single sheet. A short push from the water inlet drops them into the bin. The whole harvest takes a few minutes, and the machine immediately starts the next batch.
Why cube size is selectable
Change the freeze time on the PLC and the cube gets bigger. A plant can therefore switch between a fast turnover small cube for bars and a larger, slower melting cube for display counters without changing any hardware.
3. Performance Advantages
▪ Clear, saleable cubes. Transparency is what separates a product from a utility. Cube ice from this range is clear through the whole piece, not just on the surface.
▪ Food grade throughout. 316L contact surfaces, drainable water circuit and a design that can be opened for cleaning and sanitising between production runs.
▪ Consistent cube geometry. Every cell is filled and frozen identically, so cubes stack, bag and present predictably, which matters for retail and for automated bagging lines.
▪ Selectable cube size. Cube size is set by freeze time, letting one machine serve several product formats across the year.
▪ Slow, even melt. A solid cube melts from the outside in, cooling a glass or a display tray steadily instead of flooding it, which is why it is preferred for beverage service.
▪ Fits an existing line. Ice bin, bagger, cold room and water treatment can be supplied together so the machine drops into a complete packing operation.
4. Applications
▪ Beverage and bar service. Clear cube ice for soft drinks, cocktails and bottled drinks, where appearance is part of the sale.
▪ Hotels, resorts and catering. Central production for kitchens, banqueting and poolside service, with bagging for distribution.
▪ Seafood display. Cube ice beds product for retail display without hiding it, and melts slowly enough to hold through a trading day.
▪ Coffee chains and convenience retail. Bagged cube ice as a retail product, sized and packed for the counter freezer.
▪ Supermarkets. In store production or central production with distribution, both supported by the same platform.
▪ Ice retail and distribution. Bagged ice for wholesale and route delivery, where consistent cube size drives brand recognition.
5. After-Sales Service
▪ Food safety documentation. Cleaning procedure, material certificates for 316L contact parts and a sanitation schedule are supplied as standard, ready for a buyer audit.
▪ Global spare parts stock. Nine service hubs hold wear parts, cubes moulds, water pumps and control components.
▪ Remote commissioning and support. Start up parameters are reviewed with your engineer before shipment and again during commissioning by video.
▪ Documentation package. Operation manual, electrical drawings, water circuit schematic and spare parts list in English.
▪ Warranty and response. Twelve months warranty on the machine, longer on the compressor per its own terms. Inquiries answered within one working day.
